Internet Success System

April 4th, 2008 · No Comments

Last weekend I went to Orlando for a conference, Mark Hendricks’ Internet Success System. This was the seventh (yes, 7th) of these events in a row I’ve attended. Mark holds them twice a year, usually in Orlando in the spring and Atlanta in the fall.

I’ve been to a lot (over 30) Internet marketing-related live events, but ISS is unlike any others.

First of all, it’s not another pitchfest disguised as a seminar. There are usually only one or two big-name speakers; most of the people doing presentations are ISS members who have “graduated” to a speaking opportunity. This was the second ISS event where I made a presentation.

Another key difference is that ISS includes a home-study course. At many events they try to sell you a course, but Mark includes his with the program so that you have some basics under your belt before you attend. The course is a series of audio lessons that were recorded about 3 years ago, but when you listen to them you might think they were brand new, since they are so timeless. That’s because Mark talks about time-tested principles of marketing and business success, not a bunch of techie gimmicks that will stop working next month. Many of us listen to these recordings over and over and keep picking up new ideas… one guy swears Mark somehow updates them since they seem different each time!

A third thing that makes ISS special is the continuing education and community components. As if meeting twice a year in person wasn’t enough, Mark also does several teleconferences a month, when you can get your questions answered and keep up-to-date about what’s happening in the Internet marketing scene. Depending on the level at which you join, you can also participate in mastermind groups and attend a summer retreat, which is like an intense, in-person masterminding and brainstorming session.

I almost forgot- you also get audio recordings of the live events and teleconferences… going all the way back to the beginning of the program, not just starting when you join.

Ted Nicholas at Mark Hendricks' ISS conferenceLast weekend’s guest speaker was the legendary Ted Nicholas, who’s been a master marketer, copywriter, and author for decades. Ted normally speaks to groups of thousands of people who have paid 4 or 5 figures to attend an event, but when he saw the quality of Mark’s program, he agreed to speak for our relatively small crowd of a bit under 100 people… not just once, but he made presentations all 3 days and was in the meeting room most of the weekend. He even had dinner with us on Saturday night.

I really can’t say enough about the ISS program- whether you are just getting started or have been around for a while… if you’re serious, there’s really nothing like it.

Although October may seem a long time from now, it’s not too soon to start thinking about coming to Atlanta. You’ll have a few months between now and then to go through the home study material and listen to some of the other recordings. Check it out here: Internet Success System by Mark Hendricks
